Blank Native American flute Tablature

This page has PDF files that let you print out templates for writing or transcribing sheet music for the Native American flute. Each page has blank staves for writing music in Nakai Tablature as well as finger diagrams with open holes that can be filled in by hand.

Each file has versions are included finger diagrams for Finger diagram closed closed closed open open open six hole flutes, five hole flutes Five hole finger diagram closed closed open open open and Anasazi-style five hole flutes Hopi five hole finger diagram closed closed closed open open, Four hole flutes in Mojave four hole finger diagram closed closed half-closed open Mojave style, Yuma four hole finger diagram closed closed half-closed open Yuma style, and four hole flutes with an uneven spacing Uneven four hole finger diagram closed closed half-closed open, and Papago-style three hole flutes Papago three hole finger diagram closed closed open (without a thumb hole) and Papago four hole finger diagram closed closed closed open (with a thumb hole). In addition, the US Letter PDF files have sets of pages for seven hole flutes in Seven hole finger diagram closed closed closed open open open open 3-4 configuration, Bawu finger diagram closed closed closed closed open open open 4-3 configuration, and Seven hole finger diagram closed closed closed closed open open open with a thumb hole, eight Eight hole finger diagram closed closed closed closed open open open open hole flutes, and Baroque / English Recorders Recorder finger diagram closed closed closed closed open open open open. For each version has a small and a large variation, and two pages are provided for each: a “first page” with room for the title and author, and a “second page” that can be used for subsequent pages.

There are different PDF files for printing on different sizes of paper as well as the orientation of the finger diagrams.
